How can I apply to be mentored or to be a mentor?

If you need to join the SOBA America Mentorship Program as a mentee or as a mentor, click on the link below to fill out a mentorship application. Your application will be reviewed by the Mentorship Committee. If you are applying to be a mentee, you will be paired with a mentor. If you are applying to be a mentor, thank you for your willingness to serve our association and to be your brother’s keeper. You will be  paired with one or more mentees, depending on your availability.

How does the program work?

Once a mentee and mentor are paired, a contract will be signed by the parties establishing a commitment. They are required to meet either virtually or in person and agree on goals, as well as create an action plan. The mentor will submit periodic progress reports to SOBA America. This will help us assess the value of the program to both the mentee and the mentor, as well collect data on the effectiveness of the program for process improvement.

How long will it take before I get a response to my application?

Depending on the volume of applications, it may take a few days to up to 2 weeks. If you have not heard back from us and there is an urgency, please call 1 (888) 504 SOBA Ext 1.
