SOBA Carolinas Shines with a Vibrant TOPGOLF Outing in Charlotte
On November 16th, 2025, the SOBA Carolinas Chapter lit up the city of Charlotte with an unforgettable TOPGOLF outing, a joyful blend of brotherhood, family, laughter, and the unmistakable spirit of Sasse. Hosted under the leadership of President Valery Bah and spearheaded by SOBAN Julius Herbst, the event brought together SOBANS, spouses, and friends for a day that beautifully showcased what community, connection, and camaraderie are all about.
The atmosphere was electric from the moment SOBANS arrived. With golf swings cutting through the cool evening air, plates filled with delicious food, glasses raised in cheer, and music echoing around the bays, the Carolinas chapter created an experience that was more than an outing—it was a celebration of the values that bind us as SOBANS: unity, joy, friendship, and family.
What made this event truly special was the intentional inclusion of spouses and families. That simple yet powerful gesture transformed the outing into a warm, family-centered gathering. It reminded us that while SOBA is built on brotherhood, the support systems behind every SOBAN—our wives, children, and loved ones—are equally important pillars of our community. Their presence added warmth, laughter, and energy that made the event even more memorable.
The Carolinas team didn’t just organize an activity; they created a model for how chapters can cultivate connections outside formal meetings. The smiles, the friendly competition, the shared stories, and the effortless bonding showed that sometimes the best way to strengthen our association is simply to come together, relax, and have fun.
SOBA America proudly applauds President Bah, lead organizer SOBAN Julius Herbst, and the entire Carolinas Chapter for this creative, inclusive, and beautifully executed event. They demonstrated what it means to think beyond traditional meetings, to invest in experiences that build lifelong memories, and to unite families under the SOBA banner.
This is the kind of chapter leadership that inspires.
This is the kind of community engagement that grows our association.
This is the kind of brotherhood that keeps SOBA America strong.
To all other chapters across the United States and Canada, let this be a call to action. Pick a weekend, choose an activity, bring your families, and create something magical. Whether it’s a bowling night, a family picnic, a barbecue, a beach day, a hiking trip, a cultural outing, or another TOPGOLF challenge, events like these keep our connections strong, deepen relationships, and welcome new SOBANS into our fold with warmth and authenticity.
SOBA Carolinas has set a vibrant example, one worth celebrating and emulating.
Let’s continue building a community where brotherhood goes beyond meetings and becomes a lifestyle.
